Defining sophistication for the purposeful and contemporary lifestyle.

In 2013, I said farewell to corporate life to follow my true passion: making peoples’ living spaces beautiful. I quickly found that, not only did the process come naturally (both my mother and my grandmother were designers) but I also felt that I could tangibly improve not only the beauty of someone’s home, but the quality of their life, simply by improving the space they occupied. I love working with like-minded collaborators: those with elegant taste, who are passionate about beautiful spaces, who seek help in translating that passion and vision into reality. As a corporate refugee, mother of two, and committed citizen of New York City, I can identify with the demands of contemporary living. I come to work every day with a passion to create sophisticated, inspiring interiors that come together in a creative and intelligent way for ultimate impact in one’s space.

Brooke Moorhead

Brooke Moorhead Design grew out of a lifetime in a design family and an inspiration in New York for an aesthetic purpose. Brooke graduated from Brown University and then started out in New York as a paralegal at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and then as an equity research analyst at Sanford Bernstein. After a short time, she felt drawn to the more creative field of interior design and a more pioneering life as an entrepreneur. She found herself at New York Interior Design and, briefly, as an intern at the revered Gomez Associates in New York City. Upon graduation from NYSID, she joined her mother’s firm, Lucinda Lester Design, in Santa Barbara, CA, to work on some of the largest residential construction projects going on in the country at that time, and, in 2013, launched her own eponymous firm in New York.

Brooke Moorhead Design is a full service firm, specializing in assisting clients in all phases of the design process, from construction to completion.
