In the season of renewal…
As we begin to reflect on the year I take a look back at some of the most dramatic transformations of 2016.
Hampton Classic
This winter I gave a Hamptons home a face lift. The living room required only some paint, floor refinishing, and new lighting to elevate its look. We are still working on finishing touches, so stay tuned for more shots in 2017.
An unused closet next to the dining room proved to be an efficient and elegant entertaining focal point. Wallpaper, new lighting, and a splash of color did the trick to make the new bar pop.
Bright Lights, Big City…
This Lenox Hill home was move-in ready when purchased but…. lighting had been poorly imagined and the paint and floor colors left something to be desired. We painted a spectacular lacquer ceiling in the living room, stained the floors dark, and upgraded the light fixtures to create a less irritating glare and more shine where it mattered. Still in progress… stay tuned for final shots next year.
Color Blast
This client loves color and was willing to take the leap with me. We used her existing chairs and a rug she owned previously, but new colors, draperies, and new upholstery proved transformative.
This was a big year for BMD and 2017 is shaping up to be just as exciting. I will be sharing more photography with you after wrapping up a few more projects in the next few months.
Until then, I hope everyone has a very happy and fulfilling holiday season.
In good design,
Brooke
